Billy Ray Cyrus is responding after shocking audio emerged of him dissing his soon-to-be ex-wife, Firerose, and making disparaging comments about some of her children.

Fox News Digital obtained shocking audio between Cyrus and his ex-wife, where the country singer is heard berating his Australian ex and using profane language.

Shortly after the audio was posted, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer addressed the recording and confirmed that it was him.

“Of course I was on edge. As the days went by, I started to realize something was wrong. And that was before I knew she was an impostor. I knew something was wrong. That was before I knew she was David Hodge's ex-wife,” she said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“That was before I knew her parents' last name. I had no idea she had been arrested for residential burglary. I saw before my very eyes that everything I thought I knew about her was a lie. She was trying to take over my career, my life, and usurp the Cyrus name for her own benefit.”

“See you in court,” she concluded in the statement, which she also posted on her Instagram Story.

In the recording, the former couple can be heard arguing about going to an alleged Cyrus concert.

“It's 9:15, idiot. I was supposed to leave two hours ago,” Cyrus said.

—No, you didn't. You can still leave and get there on time, Firerose suggested.

“Get out of here, I'm not going… I'm not in any condition to do a show. I had to leave when I was ready to do it,” Cyrus continued. “If you could just fuck it up.”

“Please stop yelling at me,” Firerose said before Cyrus began to rant.

“If only you had just left him alone when I told you. It's done. Now I'm really pissed off. You've shown me once again that you won't listen to me. I don't know who the hell you think you are, but you won't fucking listen to me. And this has nothing to do with your BRCA.” [gene]”It's not about your surgery. It's not about anything. It's about you being a selfish fucking bitch. I don't think you're very smart. I changed my mind about that shit. What you are is a selfish fucking bitch,” she can be heard yelling.

“I’ll tell you one thing,” Cyrus continued. “That’s what you are. You’re a selfish fucking bitch. You can’t keep walking all over me and thinking I’m going to go out in public with your bullshit. And have you do this shit wherever you want. In front of anyone.”

“You mean you're yelling at me right now?” Firerose replied.

“This wouldn't be happening if you would have just kept your mouth shut. Look at the mess you've made. How stupid. That's really stupid because you need to know that I'm not going to stand for that shit. You just fucked up,” Cyrus said.

Firerose then told her husband that she wanted him to “be happy,” before the conversation ended with more insults.

A source tells Fox News Digital that the audio that surfaced has been edited. They claim that it is a series of conversations between the former couple that have been edited together. The source says that the recorded conversations, allegedly edited, took place the night of a Nicki Minaj concert. Firerose allegedly did not want Cyrus to perform with the singer because she was jealous.

The source claims Cyrus locked herself in a cabin and Firerose walked in, leading to heated conversations.

Cyrus and Firerose were originally married in October 2023. In May of the following year, Cyrus filed for an annulment, citing “irreconcilable differences” and alleged “inappropriate marital conduct,” in documents obtained by Fox News Digital.

Since then, the couple has been involved in a tumultuous online battle.

Separate audio obtained by Fox News Digital shows Cyrus referring to himself in the third person, addressing his children he shares with his ex-wife, Tish Cyrus, two of whom he adopted.

“The other two kids that were there were kids from a previous marriage, before she met Billy Ray. From two different fathers. No, wait a minute, I said that wrong. Not from a previous marriage. The other two kids that were there, she was impregnated by two different men and had those two kids before she met Billy Ray,” he said, referencing Trace and Brandi Cyrus.

“Think about it, if I said that. The truth about… I mean, Noah, Brandi, Trace. And everyone knows Devil's a bitch.”

While it was reported that Cyrus was talking about her daughter, Miley Cyrus, the same source tells Fox News Digital that her comment “everyone knows the devil is a bitch” has nothing to do with the “Wrecking Ball” singer.

Cyrus' relationship with several of her children, including Miley, has reportedly been strained for some time. In a conversation with David Letterman that aired last month, Miley said she inherited her father's narcissism.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Firerose, Noah, Brandi, Miley and Tish Cyrus for comment.
