American teen goes missing in Germany after family fears he was 'duped' from cruise ship

Authorities are searching for an American teenager who disappeared while on a Caribbean Princess cruise ship docked in Germany.

Aydin Brown, 14, was last seen leaving a Caribbean Princess cruise ship shortly after it docked in the port of Warnemünde on July 4, according to Rostock police.

The Caribbean Princess told Fox News Digital that they are working with local police to find Brown.

“We are actively cooperating with German law enforcement on a missing person case involving a 14-year-old boy who disembarked from the Caribbean Princess in Warnemünde on Thursday morning without an escort.

“My worst nightmare continues to unfold. Aydin is still missing. It appears that once he left the ship in Warnemünde, Germany, he may have been lured away,” Brown's cousin Anne Yaktiyol wrote in a social media post.

The Rostock police are now using a surveillance camera photograph to search for the witness who, according to previous investigations, was with the missing teenager on Thursday morning before his disappearance.

Warnemünde, the city where Brown was last seen, is about two hours from Berlin.

“My cousin Anne took her grandson Aydin on a special European cruise! (Just the two of them!) He got off the boat in Germany and disappeared about 24 hours ago,” Amy Kopischke, another of Brown's cousins, wrote in a post.

It is unclear whether Brown left the ship alone or accompanied by his grandmother. Rostock police said an investigation revealed that Brown and his grandmother had argued, leading him to abandon the ship.

The police are requesting the witness report from the Rostock Criminal Investigation Department immediately.

Police are also asking for the public's help with any information regarding Brown's whereabouts.
