Airplane with three people aboard accidents on the high seas near the lighthouse of Monterey County


Two people were found unanswered and rescue teams were looking for a third person after a small plane crashed on the Coast of the Monterey County on Saturday night, according to the United States Coast Guard.

Monterey County officials alerted the Monterey Station of the Coast Guard at 10:55 pm on Saturday that a double motor wood with three people on board had crashed around 200 to 300 yards on the coast, near the historic lighthouse of the Piñanos in Pacific Grove, the Coast Guard said in a news statement on Sunday.

The plane took off from San Carlos airport at 10:11 pm and was last seen at 10:37 pm near Monterey, according to flight tracking data from the flight.

The Coast Guard launched a 29 -foot response ship that reached the scene shortly after 11 pm

A Coast Guard helicopter and three teams from the California Forest Forestry and Fire Protection Department also helped, along with two lime fire drones. Multiple Local Application Agencies of the Law also helped in the response.

The Beechcraft was located, according to the Coast Guard.

The plane had been scheduled to go to the Gooding Municipal Airport in Idaho on Sunday morning, a flight of two hours and 48 minutes, and fly back to Monterey later in the day.

The National Transportation Board is investigating the cause of the accident.

ABC7 News in San Francisco reported that the aircraft pieces, including at least one wheel, had been washed at the nearby Asilomar Beach near Sunday morning.
