On a temperate afternoon at the end of August, Maxwell Haworth, 5, played at Rincon Beach in Ventura with his best friend while his parents watched from the sand.
The perfect day for the image quickly became a “nightmare”, according to the family. When the young Maxwell climbed the rocks on the edge of the beach, he slipped, causing a rock to fall on him, said the Sheriff's office of Ventura County.
The young man was seriously injured in the accident and later died that day in a local hospital, according to the family member Daniel Kessler.

“His father picked him up and went up to the parking lot with him in his arms to get help,” Kessler said. “They did everything they could.”
The heartbreaking accident that took the child's life has apparently touched the hearts of hundreds of people as far away as Chicago and Atlanta who donated more than $ 65,000 in less than 10 days.
“He was always a cheerful and energetic boy of 5 years and always had fun, he loved everyone. Actually the kindergarten had started a couple of weeks ago,” Kessler said. “The family is disconsolate that they will not see it grow.”
After the tragic loss, the friend of the Bryan Holloway family organized A GOFUNDME Cost account and funeral support.
“My friends are not to ask for anyone, but we know they need any support they can get,” Holloway wrote on the page.
As the only son of his parents, Max was his “greatest joy in life and a blessing that they couldn't have wanted more,” said Holloway.
The online fund collection page is adorned with photos of the Child of Cherub and his parents. In less than a week, the Gofundme reached almost $ 50,000, with donations ranging from $ 10 to $ 2,500.
Until Friday afternoon, it reached $ 65,000 of almost 650 taxpayers, closing its $ 80,000 goal.
“The effusion of support has been tremendous, we feel so blessed and their parents feel so blessed and they cannot thank people enough to donate and share their love,” Kessler said. “They feel delighted that their son has touched so many people.”
