The game was played in the midst of the political struggle between Trudeau and President Donald Trump, since the world leader of the United States has caused Canadian legislators about the country to become their “state 51”. Trump has also openly called Trudeau the “governor” of Canada. He continued on Thursday before the game.
“You can't take our country, and you can't take our game,” he published in X.
The policy infiltrated hockey earlier this month when NHL and NBA fans booed “The Star-Spangled Banner” when Trump announced tariffs against Canada, which since then they have stopped.

The boo continued towards the confrontation of the 4 nations and culminated in a round of punches during the first confrontation of the United States and Canada. Three fights occurred in just nine seconds after Canadian fans booed the national anthem in Montreal.
The United States was able to get a victory in that game.
Canadian fans drowned the handful of boos in the TD garden while they sang “or, Canada”. American fans continued with their own edge of the national anthem.
