15-year-old California teen disappears at Denver International Airport


A teenager returning home to California reportedly never returned, and authorities said she was last seen on a layover at Denver International Airport.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said 15-year-old Harper Cadman went missing at Denver International Airport on Jan. 30.

“Harper never made her flight home and is believed to still be in the Denver or Boulder, Colorado area,” an announcement from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said.

The organization said the teen was last seen landing in Denver around 8:27 a.m. on Jan. 30 for a stopover on her way back to California.

In a Facebook post, Cadman's mother, Ari Petronelli, wrote a heartfelt message about her daughter's disappearance.

“My stomach hurts writing this and I never thought I'd have to post another missing flyer from my own son, but if this last year has taught me anything it's that life just doesn't make sense,” Petronelli wrote. in a Facebook post.

Petronelli explained that her daughter was returning home to California from Montana, but never took her connecting United Airlines flight.

He said his daughter was participating in a mental health treatment center in Montana at the time of the incident.

“As many of you know, Harper was undergoing treatment for mental health issues last year and while being transferred from Montana back to California, she disappeared during her layover at the Denver airport on January 30 at 8:30 a.m. a United Airlines flight.” Petronelli explained.

Cadman is described as 5'7″ and about 115 pounds.

He has blue eyes and dyed black hair. She has a pierced nose and tattoos on her waist and the middle finger of her left hand. She also has braces.

Her mother said she was last seen wearing a white True Religion sweater, black leggings and black boots. She carried nothing else with her while she traveled.

She is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. She has blue eyes, dyed black hair, braces, a piercing in her nose, and tattoos on her waist and middle finger of her left hand. (National Center for Missing and Exploited Children)

Authorities believe he is still in the Denver or Boulder areas.

According to his family, he doesn't know anyone in Colorado.
