Vice President Kamala Harris has gone 106 days as the presumptive and now official Democratic presidential candidate without holding an official press conference.
Trump has held at least six news conferences answering questions from the media since early August. Harris has held several brief, informal press briefings this week with the media while on the campaign trail, including on Monday when she criticized the tone and rhetoric at Trump's rally in New York City over the weekend. On Saturday, she appeared on NBC's “Saturday Night Live” as herself in the show's cold open.
She gave a speech Tuesday in Washington, D.C., outlining her path forward for America and how it differs from what she calls Trump's dark, radical vision.
Harris also ended her streak of not appearing on Fox News last month, attending an interview in Pennsylvania with top political host Bret Baier. He also conducted a CNN town hall and interviews in recent days with NBC News, Telemundo and CBS, as well as several podcasts and local news stations in recent weeks.
KAMALA HARRIS ASSURES THAT HER PRESIDENCY 'WILL NOT BE A CONTINUATION' OF BIDEN'S
Harris ramped up her interviews in October, including radio hits, friendly appearances with “The View,” Stephen Colbert and Howard Stern and other media appearances.
But as for when she will hold a formal press conference as a candidate, that won't happen two days before the election.
Conservative Radio Libre host Jorge Bonilla thinks Harris should hold a press conference, but said it's almost “irrelevant” because she keeps getting a pass.

“It is highly unlikely that she will give a press conference because the media has enabled and encouraged her 'Plexiglass basement' strategy, in which she preserves the illusion of being out there while remaining totally inaccessible to the press and therefore , is not accountable,” Bonilla told Fox News Digital. .
Trump has skipped several potential interviews in recent weeks, but he showed up at Al Smith's annual dinner, where presidential candidates have historically held joyful barbecues. Harris decided not to attend and instead sent a video message.
CBS NEWS BREAKS ITS SILENCE OVER EDITING ALLEGATIONS IN '60 MINUTES' INTERVIEW WITH HARRIS
Harris also did an interview last month on “60 Minutes” that sparked controversy over the show's editing choices with an answer she gave to a question about Israel. In a preview of the interview on October 6, CBS aired a portion of his response, but appeared to air a completely different part during the actual special on October 7.
