Doing fun and exciting things with your partner is a great way to keep love alive.

Especially once you've been dating for a long time, coming up with new date ideas can be a little more challenging, but it's important.

“One of the things I always say to keep love alive is to do new things, novel activities,” said Jaime Bronstein, an Illinois relationship therapist and coach.

He previously spoke to Fox News Digital in a phone interview.

“Not just doing new things in bed, but also going to new restaurants, traveling to a new place. If you go for a walk, take a different route,” Bronstein continued. “When you do new activities, your dopamine levels increase and dopamine leads to testosterone.”

If it's too hot to go to the amusement park, consider a water park. In a water park, you will still experience the same emotions, but at the same time you will be able to cool off.

3. Get a treat at an ice cream shop

A classic summer date is having a delicious ice cream.
