Apples are a beloved American basic element and excellent in cakes, but also pack some important health benefits that you may not know.

The crunchy traffic light can maintain stable blood sugar levels, cut cholesterol, reduce blood pressure, facilitate inflammation and protect your intestinal health, according to the Cleveland clinic.

“Because apples are rich in water and fiber, they make a filling refreshment,” Sommer said. “Fiber helps slow down, so you feel full for longer.”
