Sonnnalli Seygall reveals that she practices shirshasana during her pregnancy. The actress is expecting her first child.

Actress Sonnalli Seygall is expecting her first child with husband Ashesh Sajnani. The actress often shares moments of her fitness journey on Instagram as she prepares for this new phase of her life. Recently, she shared a video on social media of herself practicing the inverted posture under the supervision of an expert. Her dedication to fitness during pregnancy is inspiring.

On her Instagram account, Sonnalli Seygall shared that she continues to do inversions during her pregnancy. She added that she consulted her yoga guru and her doctors to confirm if she could do them during this stage of her life. She mentioned that it was only after receiving the go-ahead from them that she continued practicing this technique. She wrote, “Inversions have been a part of my yoga practice for years. One of the first things I consulted with my yoga guru and my doctors when I conceived was if I could continue doing my inversions. They both gave me the go-ahead and said I could continue with the asanas I was doing before I got pregnant.”

Practicing Shirshasana during pregnancy helps babies move into the more spacious part of the pelvis. Moreover, it also calms the nervous system and helps mothers with swollen feet. Practicing yoga during pregnancy is more beneficial for expectant mothers than walking or any other form of exercise. The actress performed the yoga pose under close supervision. Even during pregnancy, she has continued her workout routine with minor changes to stay fit and active.

However, Seygall warns that inversions should only be performed by pregnant women who have already practiced them before. It is not advisable to practice this intense yoga pose during pregnancy, as the body is not used to it.
