Skims launches collection in partnership with Team USA for the Olympic Games

Kim Kardashian's Skims brand is launching a new Olympics-inspired collection amid a partnership with Team USA.

Ahead of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, the billionaire's shapewear and underwear brand will launch a limited-edition capsule collection featuring Team USA. In a press release, Kardashian wrote, “I am so honored to May Skims continue to support Team USA and the inspiring athletes participating in the upcoming 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.”

“Our shared mission to empower everyone is truly highlighted in this year's collaboration with the addition of our men's styles to reinvent our adaptive intimates,” he continued. “The athletes in our campaign look amazing in the collection and I can't wait to cheer them on this summer in Skims!”

For the advertising campaign, photographer Greg Swales photographed decorated Olympic and Paralympic athletes, including Sunisa Lee, Fred Kerley, Gabby Thomas, Jessica Long, Caeleb Dressel and Nick Mayhugh, wearing vintage-inspired designs. Athletes bravely modeled the new collection, posing with an American flag on a red background.

Olympic gymnast Lee noted in the press release that as a “long-time fan of Skims,” this partnership is a “dream come true.” She added: “I'm very lucky to be able to experiment with my style while competing, but when I'm not in the gym I still want to look and feel great. I love that Skims offer comfort, flexibility and style.”

Olympic track and field athlete Thomas expressed similar experiences with the brand, noting that she doesn't have to sacrifice style for comfort when wearing the product. She said in the press release: “I wear a lot of loungewear when I'm not competing or training, but I also love to experiment with fashion, so I never want to compromise on style, and Skims are the perfect balance of style and comfort!”.

Unlike Kardashian's last collaboration with Team USA, this Olympic-inspired collection will include Skims Mens, Swim, and Adaptive offerings. The billionaire last dressed the entire US team in her Skims underwear and underwear for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

This partnership extended to another limited edition collection for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. At the time, Senior Vice President of US Olympic and Paralympic Properties Peter Zeytoonjian wrote in a press release that the organization was “delighted” to continue collaborating with the Kardashian brand.

“Team USA's first collection with Skims was a huge hit with athletes and fans alike and we're thrilled to bring another collection to life as we get closer to the Winter Games,” he wrote. “This new collection features warmer materials, providing greater comfort for Team USA athletes as they compete in colder temperatures.”

The newest collection will launch online on June 26.
