The month of Sawan is considered auspicious and sacred. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees offer special worship to Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. Sawan Somwar Vrat has a special significance in Sawan. Devotees of Lord Shiva eagerly wait for the month of Sawan. According to religious belief, if devotees observe the vrat, all their wishes will be fulfilled. Dr. Gaurav Kumar Dixit, astrologer, numerologist and Astro Vastu expert, says that the month of Shravan begins after Ashadh Purnima. This year, Ashadh Purnima begins on July 21. In this case, the month of Shravan begins on the next day i.e. 22nd July. The first Monday fast of the month of Shravan also falls on July 22. The fasts of Monday, Shravan Shivratri, and the fasts of Mangala Gauri also have a special significance in the month of Shravan.
The Sawan Somvar Vrat will give special blessings from Lord Shiva. This year there are a total of five Sawan Somvar Vrats. This sacred month will end on August 19. It will begin with fasting on Monday and will also end with fasting on Monday. This year, the month of Shravan will begin on Sawan Nakshatra and Preeti Yoga.

Mangala Gauri Vrat Date
This year, there will be 4 Mangala Gauri Vrat in Sawan. This fast will be observed on Tuesday. The first Mangala Gauri Vrat will be observed on July 23. The second will be on July 30, the third on August 6 and the fourth on August 13.
Shravan Shivratri Date
This year, Shravan Shivratri falls on August 2, 2024, which falls on a Friday.
