Milan Fashion Week, which kicked off on September 17, offers individual looks, fit for the fall season. Moreover, renowned designers have also been setting the stage for spring-summer 2025 with their ethereal outfits. Thursday marked the third day of the fashion week, with some masterpieces from brands like Prada, Maccapani, Armani, and Moschino. Here are some highlights from the event to give you an idea of the third day of the prestigious fashion week.
Prada Womenswear Collection Preview
Prada's spring-summer 2025 womenswear collection focused primarily on versatile skirts, suspended with belt rings around the waist, which took fashionistas back to the 1990s. A-line treated leather skirts with circular cuts, high-waisted trousers and knitwear had two-dimensional collars and came with a postmodern futuristic twist. Taking center stage of the designers' items were sunglasses and sleeveless hats with tinted display panels.
The Emporio Armani collection
Titled Future Perfect, Emporio Armani’s collection was a fresh take on the masculine codes that revolutionized ties. Women dressed in a man’s suit, with a sequined tie worn playfully as a bandeau top under a jacket. However, they balanced masculinity and femininity by incorporating soft jackets and flowing trousers, blouses and outerwear. The color palette included muted and bright neutrals along with beads and sequins.
Max Mara Collection
Max Mara's designs included asymmetrical, draped dresses, voluminous skirts and the revival of the 1980s jacket tied at one side. The brand's trademark monochromes also included a touch of sexiness with the incorporation of bra tops, slits and cut-outs for eye-catching effect. In addition, long jackets and hemlines offered ample coverage. A crisp white shirt with folded cuffs and a leg-baring suit-jacket combination were the brand's signature outerwear pieces.
Moschino
Moschino creative director Adrian Appiolaza presented the collection, which includes white dresses on crisp cotton canvas with twisted, tied and draped elements, elaborated with ruffles and cutouts.
In his third collection for the brand, the designer continued his love of graphic prints and proportions with the inclusion of a little black dress and floral numbers.
Maccapani
Margherita Maccapani Missoni named its new fashion baby after herself and opted for a fashion philosophy that is a mix of old and new. The Maccapani brand did not limit itself to the familiar cotton version, but also to jacquard and lurex. In addition, streetwear or sportswear had a feminine and elegant touch, perfectly combined.
