Social media influencer Mrs Hinch announced that her father Alan has died.
In an Instagram update posted on Wednesday (May 8), Sophie Hinchliffe informed her 4.8 million followers that her father had died suddenly in his sleep on April 25.
Hinchliffe's father had been hospitalized for respiratory problems a month before he died in late April.
In a social media tribute to his “precious father,” Hinchliffe, 34, described the “unimaginable pain” he has been experiencing as he mourns the loss of his father.
“April 25, 2024. My precious dad passed away suddenly but very peacefully in his sleep,” she wrote.
“My life, our entire world, has been turned upside down. “A deep and unimaginable pain that I cannot express in words.”
Hinchliffe, best known for sharing lifestyle tips and authoring the children's book Welcome to Hinch FarmHe described his father as a “loving dad” and a “loving grandfather.”
The content creator also added that she had locked her father's workshop, which she made for him on her £1million farm, and that she now sleeps “with the key” every night.
“I promise to keep your dream of having a workshop alive,” he said. “Until we meet and sing together again. Good night father. “My absolute king.”
In April, Hinchliffe shared updates with her followers when her father was admitted to the hospital for respiratory issues.
“My dad has never been blessed, let's say, with fantastic health, from his chest, his lungs, his heart. He’s always had problems,” he said.
Hinchliffe's famous friends shared their condolences in the comments section of her post, with singer Alexandra Burke writing: “I'm so sorry for your loss. “I send you all my love and prayers.”
Meanwhile, love island Winner Molly Mae Hague added: “I'm so sorry Sophie. May he rest in paradise.”
It comes after Hinchliffe, who shares sons Ronnie, four, and Lennie, two, with husband Jamie, revealed her eldest son was rushed to hospital with fever last June.
“Everything seems like a fog right now. Ron's temperature rose to over 40 degrees and his neck was swollen and his head movements were limited. He couldn’t hold down medications or liquids,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories.
“They took us to the ER and sent us home with antibiotics and we just didn't feel good. My instinct told me no.”
After calling 111, Hinch decided to return to the hospital, where his son was later admitted.
“Since taking intravenous antibiotics, we are seeing very slow improvement, but we will be here for a little while longer, as we need his temperature to be satisfactory and for the antibiotics to take effect,” he continued.
“Here I share a large part of my life, the good and the bad, I have a fantastic support network of my followers,” he said, before thanking his fans.
