the leader of The BachelorJoey Graziadei has caused confusion after describing a European island, built in 5900 BC, as “old school”.

In an episode of the show, which aired on February 12, Graziadei and the season's contestants arrived in Malta, an island country located in southern Europe. Like previous seasons, season 28 follows Graziadei's journey to find his future wife. I pass it by The Bachelor comes after she was a contestant on Charity Lawson's season ofHigh school.

The Bachelor The episode continued showing Graziadei walking around Malta, while expressing how excited he was to be there. “I'm excited to be in Malta,” she said. “I can understand why people love coming here. “It’s absolutely beautiful.”

On social media, many fans mocked Graziadei's comment about Malta, which was built around 5900 BC and is located south of Sicily, Italy. In the TikTok comments, which showed part of the episode, many made jokes about countries that are centuries old.

“Ancient cities are so trendy,” one joked, while another added: “Me looking at Greek ruins: 'oh cute, retro.'”

A third joked: “Me in Rome: it's a bit dated.”

Meanwhile, some people made fun of some of Graziadei's other comments, while joking about how they could relate to him.

“I'm dead when he also said it's 'close to the water' honey, Malta is an island,” one wrote.

“He's so funny like he's the man of my dreams,” another added, while a third commented: “He's so simple I love him.”

This isn't the first time the reality star's comments have been mocked on social media. Last week, she made headlines when she confused Gypsy Rose Blanchard with Ruth Bader Ginsburg in a “How Are You Online?” video for betting. When shown a photo of Blanchard, who spent eight years in prison for plotting to kill his mother, Graziadei said, “I know who this person is!”

“Is it Ruth? It's Jinsburg or Ginsburg or something like that. Am I wrong?” he asked, referring to the late Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg, known for casting progressive votes on the most sensitive social issues of the day, including abortion rights, same-sex marriage, the right to vote, immigration, health care and affirmative action.

Despite having formulated the question incorrectly in the betting In the video, Graziadei seemed to know who Blanchard was and said, “I know something happened to him and he went to jail because of his mother.”

“Ruth Ginsburg? “I don’t know what I’m saying,” she said, laughing, after being told who the woman in the photo was.

Graziadei's confusion came nearly two months after Blanchard was released from the Chillicothe Correctional Facility in Missouri. Blanchard had served 85 percent of her sentence, eight years after confessing that she and her online boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, conspired to kill her mother. She first pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in 2016, while Godejohn was ultimately convicted and sentenced to life in prison for murder and 25 years for armed criminal action.

Until the age of 24, Blanchard suffered psychological and physical abuse from her mother, who forced her to pretend to be disabled. Dee Dee reportedly suffered from Munchausen syndrome, forcing her daughter to pose as chronically ill.
