Tom Fletcher said that more than 30 million people require humanitarian assistance. In addition, with the famine declared in multiple places and more than 14.6 million displaced people, Sudan represents the world's largest humanitarian crisis.
“Again and again, the international community has said that we will protect the people of Sudan. The people of Sudan should ask ourselves if, when and how we will begin to fulfill that promise,” said the manager of help.
When will the international community completely finance help in Sudan?
When will the responsibility of violence in Sudan occur?

Health System 'Smashed to Pieces'
Since the conflict broke out in Sudan in April 2022, civil infrastructure throughout the country has been damaged or destroyed, including health facilities and water and sanitation systems.
The particular health system has been “crushed”, according to Mr. Fletcher, which leads to increasingly serious measles outbreaks and anger.
The cholera outbreak, which began in July 2024 and is now confirmed in 13 of the 18 Sudan states, has infected more than 74,000 people in total and killed 1,826.
“I have seen firsthand the devastation caused by cholera outbreak in Jardum, where the health system has been devastated by the conflict and is struggling to cope with the tremendous demand of health centers,” said Dr. Shible Sahbni, representative in Sudan.
The World Health Organization (WHO), in association with the Ministry of Sudanese Health, is launching a 10 -day cholera vaccination campaign in the state of Jardtum.
The campaign will aim to reach 2.6 million people in an effort to contain the outbreak of anger in the state.
“Vaccines will help stop cholera on their way as we strengthen other response interventions,” said Dr. Sahbni.
CPI judges express their support for colleagues sanctioned by us
The judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC) expressed solidarity with their colleagues who have recently been sanctioned by the United States government, describing the measure as “coercive measures aimed at undermining the independence of the Judiciary.”
“The judges are united and will continue to exercise their functions independently, impartially and consciousness, fulfilling the demands of the rule of law,” they said in a statement on Thursday.
The United States announced sanctions on June 6 against four judges of Benin, Peru, Slovenia and Uganda. The judges are supervising a case of 2020 that alleges war crimes in Afghanistan committed by US and Afghan armies and the arrest orders of the CPI 2024 issued for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
The International Court of Justice
The UN Human Rights Chief Volter Türk said that he was “deeply disturbed” by these sanctions, arguing that they corroded international governance and justice.
No incorrect influence
The CPI is an independent judicial body established under the Rome Statute, adopted in 1998. Although it is not part of the United Nations, the ICC works in close collaboration with it under a cooperative framework.
In the statement, the judges said they decide, and will continue to decide, cases based on facts and without taking into account the threats, restrictions or inadequate influence issued “of any quarter or for any reason.”
“The judges reaffirm that they are the same in the performance of their functions and that they will always maintain the principle of equality before the law.”
More than 80 million Europeans suffering from chronic respiratory diseases overlooked
Chronic respiratory diseases, such as asthma, are greatly underestimated, subdiagnosed and poorly managed in Europe, which affects 80 million people on Thursday and which costs $ 21 billion a year, the UN World Health Organization (WHO) said Thursday.
A new WHO Europe and European respiratory society stands out highlights how smoking and air pollution are promoting the growing crisis.
“We breathe 22,000 a day, but respiratory health is still one of the most neglected areas in global health,” said Professor Silke Ryan, president of the European Respiratory Society.
6th main cause of death
Data analysis shows that chronic respiratory diseases are the sixth main cause of death in Europe. They are often diagnosed erroneously due to weak diagnostic systems, limited training and inappropriate health data.
Although there are effective treatments available, deaths related to asthma remain high among young people, while chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is responsible for eight out of 10 deaths from respiratory diseases.
As the preparations for the 2025 UN high -level meeting begin on non -transmissible UN diseases, to whom Europe urged governments to prioritize chronic respiratory disease, establish measurable objectives and address root causes such as tobacco and air pollution.
