Why Meghan Markle and Prince Harry wouldn't talk about the US election

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will refrain from discussing politics ahead of the upcoming US presidential election.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will choose a middle ground to avoid approving a partial declaration before the big day.

However, the couple posted a touching message on their Archwell website ahead of the election.

They said: “Voting is not just a right; it is a fundamental way to influence the destiny of our communities. At the Archewell Foundation, we recognize that civic engagement, regardless of political party, is critical to achieving a more just and equitable world.

In the past, before Meghan married Harry, she openly expressed her dislike of Donald Trump, even going so far as to call him “misogynist” and “divisive” on one occasion.

This time, however, the Duchess has not shown her support for either Trump or his challenger, Kamala Harris.

Prince Harry left the royal family in 2020 along with his wife Meghan Markle and their son, Prince Archie. The couple subsequently accused the royal family of displaying racism towards their son and publicly shared their grievances on television. Harry and Meghan now live in California, where they also welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
