Jennifer Lawrence revealed she wanted Robert De Niro to 'go home' after their wedding ceremony because she feared he would get bored.
Robert De Niro was one of the celebrities who attended Jennifer Lawrence's wedding. But the latter revealed that she wanted the megastar to “go home” because the actress believed she wasn't having a good time at the rehearsal dinner.
On the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet, the Oscar winner recalled her eventful wedding ceremony with husband Cooke Maroney in 2019 in Newport, Rhode Island.
The Hunger Games The star explained her “horrible” state at the wedding ceremony, while recalling being worried that guests would not have fun at the event.
“Its very stressful. You're not having fun. You just think, 'Is that person having fun?'” the 33-year-old shared.
But Jennifer said she was more worried about her Silver Coatings Playbook fellow actor.
“I looked over and saw Bob, who doesn't know anyone, and he was wandering around, and I immediately said, 'no, this isn't what he wants to do.' I don't want him here,'” he said.
Jennifer continued, “So I walked over and whispered, 'Go home.' And he was kind, he talked to my parents and he was polite, but I said, 'leave.'”
She also revealed that when Robert left the event, “it really made me feel better.”
