TI and Tiny deny sexual assault and drug allegations in lawsuit

Rapper TI and his wife Tiny said they won’t waver as they face resurfaced sexual assault allegations in a new lawsuit.

The couple, whose real names are Clifford Harris Jr. and Tameka Harris, said in a statement Wednesday to the Times that their accuser, identified in the complaint as Jane Doe, has threatened legal action for the past three years and has since they have done “. She emphatically and categorically “denied the allegations and maintained her innocence,” while the claims in this story have changed over and over again.”

In May 2021, Los Angeles police detectives launched an investigation into a sexual assault report in which the woman accused the “Live Your Life” rapper and the Xscape singer of sexual assault in 2005. Months later, In September 2021, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office declined to file charges against the musicians because the case was outside the 10-year statute of limitations.

Doe’s allegations against TI, 43, and Tiny, 48, resurfaced in a lawsuit filed Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court under California’s Sexual Abuse and Concealment Accountability Act. The law allows civil lawsuits in time-barred sexual assault cases when “one or more entities are legally responsible for the damages and the entity or its agents engaged in a cover-up.” The law allowed lawsuits to be filed until the end of 2023.

The former “Family Hustle” stars said Wednesday: “Our position is clear… We are innocent of these false claims, we will not be extorted and we look forward to our day in court.”

In her complaint, reviewed by The Times, the woman alleged that she met the couple around 2005, when she enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Los Angeles. Doe, who was 22 or 23 years old at the time, joined a friend for a party at rapper Coolio’s house, where they met a man named “Caviar” who supposedly worked as an agent for hip-hop spouses. After TI and Tiny failed to show up at the house party, Caviar allegedly told the accuser that the couple would be at a club in Los Angeles the next night.

The woman and her friend went to the club, where they saw the Harrises and were escorted to the VIP section. According to the lawsuit, “Plaintiff noticed that TI and Tiny were whispering and pointing at different women in the club in a suspicious manner.”

The complaint says the woman ordered two drinks and that Tiny handed her another drink, which she did not drink alone. When TI decided she wanted to leave the club, the woman said the rapper asked her to travel with him and his wife, according to the lawsuit. The Grammy winner allegedly said they would meet the woman’s friend and Caviar, who was driving in another car, at another location.

Doe alleged that two other women from the club, whom she did not know, joined her in TI and Tiny’s van, and ended up in a hotel room. TI asked the other two women to leave the room, leaving TI, Tiny and her accuser alone, according to the lawsuit. Doe said the rapper gave him “explicit details and instructions about how the rest of the night would go.”

The woman went to the bathroom, where Tiny allegedly undressed her and TI, naked, joined them. She was allegedly ordered into the shower, where TI and Tiny joined her. The shower made the accuser feel “extremely shaken and uncomfortable,” according to the complaint.

Doe alleged that she was then ordered to sleep with TI and that she felt “extremely dizzy and lightheaded.” Once in bed, the rapper allegedly put on a pornographic movie and handed the woman a bottle of massage oil, demanding that she rub her naked body. Tiny joined the woman and YOU, touching Doe. The lawsuit alleges that TI “proceeded to slide her toes into Plaintiff’s vagina” while Tiny straddled her back. Doe said he told TI, “No.”

The rapper went to get a condom while his wife allegedly continued to get “turned on” by Doe. Tiny allegedly told the woman that he wanted them to be at her house so he could use a sex toy on her. After the comment, the woman went to the bathroom where she vomited, according to the lawsuit. She claims that the musicians made fun of her by saying “it looks like you’re in last place.” The woman left the bathroom and lay down on the couch, where she allegedly passed out until the next morning.

Doe said in the lawsuit that he woke up to the sound of a security guard banging on the door. He said he noticed that he “had a lot of pain in his vagina and felt an itching and burning sensation.” She was escorted out of the hotel room while IT and Tiny were still in bed. He was picked up by her friend who left with Caviar the night before. The friend also believes she was sexually assaulted, according to the lawsuit.

The woman’s complaint also accuses TI and Tiny of assault, neglect, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She is seeking an undisclosed amount for lost income, general damages and legal fees, and requests a jury trial.

In March 2021, TI and Tiny faced accusations of “forced drugging, kidnapping, rape and intimidation” over more than 15 years by more than 30 women. Through their attorney, Steve Sadow, the Harrises denied the allegations. Allegations of sexual abuse affected the couple’s professional lives when VH1 suspended production of their series, “TI & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle.”

In a Wednesday statement to TMZ, TI’s legal representative dismissed Doe’s “false” claims and said she “missed the deadline to file the lawsuit.”

Rodney S. Diggs, an attorney for the accuser, said otherwise and that his client is “within the statute of limitations.”

Diggs added: “Forcing someone, in this case using drugs, to do something of a sexual nature that they do not want to do is sexual assault – rape. Even after all these years, the shame, shame, and depression still linger. Silencing women silences justice. My client will no longer remain silent; “We now seek justice for her and all those who have been similarly violated.”
