The rivalry between Kanye West and Adidas turns out to be a gold mine for a fan

A fan is turning his Kanye West-signed album into a goldmine as he auctions it off in which the Chicago rap star beat out Adidas.

It was a vinyl copy of Ye's fifth album, My beautiful dark and twisted fantasy. The person had autographed “**** ADIDAS” and “YE” in February, when the Grammy winner was on tour in Paris.

After the signing, his video went viral, causing many offers for the vinyl. This convinced him to put Moment in Time up for auction.

According TMZThe initial selling price of the piece is more than $500,000.

To put things in context, Kanye was having a public meltdown against his former business partner, and the signed copy arrived at that time.

Since Adidas cut ties with rapper Power in 2022 over his unacceptable behavior, the relationship between them remains strained.

He previously lashed out at the German clothing giant for what he claimed were the 350 designs they were selling.

“Anyone who loves Ye wouldn't buy these fake Yeezys. I never made these colors; I don't get paid for them and Adidas is suing me,” he ranted on Instagram.

He continued, “As far as the system goes, what are they going to do now? Download my album again. Freeze my accounts again. Threaten people to never work with me again. All the new unapproved 350s are great.”
