Sophie Nyweide, a former children's actor whose brief career in the late Aught in early 2010 included papers in the “Mammoth”, “Noah” and “Bella” films, died.
Nyweide died on April 14 in his native state of Vermont, his family announced in an obituary of Legacy.com published last week. “Creative, athletic and wise beyond his years, Sophie achieved a lot in the time he danced on earth,” they wrote their loved ones. She was 24 years old.
The obituary described Nyweide as a cozy person who saw people who are not familiar as a family. “His death has left a hole in total,” the obituary continued. “The sadness, loss, anguish and even anger are present for those who loved her and now they will have to continue her laugh, infectious passion and enthusiasm, without those incredible blue eyes that could directly look at one's soul.”
The family announcement did not reveal additional details about the death of the actor, including a cause, but their loved ones implied that the actor had taken advantage of, rejected professional help and was authorized to face “trauma and shame” not revealed, which led to his death. The Bennington Police Department said in a statement shared with the times that Nyweide is investigating as a “possible involuntary overdose” and will carry out an investigation, including the final reports of autopsy and toxicology.
The police and rescue staff responded to a 911 call about a woman who does not respond to the beginning of April 14, according to the statement. The authorities reached a “forested area along the banks of the Roaring Branch River”, where the first responders “tried measures of salvation of lives” in Nyweide, who was declared dead in the scene less than an hour later. The person who called 911 was present with Nyweide at the time of his death and is cooperating with the researchers, according to the statement. According to reports, researchers will consider a variety of possible causes, including dirty game.
According to the reports, Nyweide was in the early stages of pregnancy when he died, according to several media citing his death certificate.
Nyweide was born on July 8, 2000 in Burlington, vt Nyweide was inspired by her mother, actor Shelly Gibson (“All my children”, “Blood & Oil”), to follow a race in Hollywood.
When I was 11 years old, Nyweide appeared in a handful of films, including the 2009 multilingual film and “Mammoth” field jump. In the film, directed by Lukas Moodyon, Nyweide appeared as Michelle Williams's daughter and Gael García, 8. Nyweide also shared the screen with James Franco and Julianne Nicholson in the 2010 “Shadows & Lies” feature, and appeared alongside Jessica Alba and Chris Messina as a student of the elementary school in “an invisible sign.”
Nyweide credits also include films “and then eat love”, “Noah” and “Margot at the Wedding”, the television series “Law & Order” and Shorts “made mistakes” and “Born Again”.
“It seemed happier on a set of films, becoming someone else,” said his family in the obituary, adding that the productions were a “safe place for her.”
The obituary continued: “He was an anxious adventurer and picked up the customs and even the languages of any place he visited. He made friends easily in his schools and saw everyone's good.”
Before becoming an actor, Nyweide was inspired by his older brother and found a special skill for snowboarding. He began to compete in the sport at age 5, according to his obituary.
“A life ended too soon. Not in vain,” said the obituary. “That we all learn from his brief life on earth and do it better. Yes, we must all protect our children and do better.”
The family asks that Donations be made in the name of Nyweide to Rainn, an organization dedicated to supporting the survivors of sexual violence.
