Prince Harry is apparently trying to fulfill his own desires as a would-be part-time royal.
The Duke of Sussex, who is about to celebrate his 40th birthday this week, has planned his own royal trips in the near future to stay relevant.
“Harry is notoriously very headstrong, and we know he wanted the half-baked royal life that the late Queen denied him,” says Kinsey Schofield, a royal expert and host of the Los Angeles-based podcast To Di For Daily. “He seems determined to achieve it, and we’re seeing that manifest itself through these fake royal tours.”
This comes as Harry told the BBC of his excitement ahead of his birthday: “Whatever age I am, my mission is to keep turning up and doing good in the world.”
“Becoming a father to two incredibly kind and funny children has given me a new perspective on life, as well as sharpened my focus on all my work.
Being a father is one of life's greatest joys and has made me more motivated and committed to making this world a better place.” He added: “Bring on to the next decade.”
