Veteran ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas passed away on February 26 after suffering from a prolonged illness. Now the Indian music community pays its respects to him, led by singers Sonu Nigam and Anup Jalota.

Pankaj Udhas died at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after a prolonged illness. His daughter Nayaab Udhas issued a statement saying, “With great sadness, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas on February 26 due to prolonged illness. Udhas family.”
