Sindh schools to remain closed tomorrow fearing rain

KARACHI: The Sindh government on Thursday announced cancellation of night classes in schools tomorrow (Friday), fearing heavy rain.

The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department, in a notification, said that all public and private night shift schools would remain closed.

With rain expected in the megacity, the Sindh government declared a rain emergency in the province and decided that offices in Karachi would be open for half a day on Friday.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department had on Wednesday forecast rain and wind storm with probability of isolated hailstorm in Sindh between February 29 and March 2.
