Sarah Ferguson is supporting her ex-husband Prince Andrew amid his ongoing dispute with King Charles over the royal lodge.
A source close to Fergie said daily beastthat although he supports Charles, he is “fiercely loyal” to the Duke of York and refuses to encourage him to move out of the 30-bedroom property.
They said the Duchess of York “refuses to sell out her family” despite mounting pressure, adding that “Sarah has never tried to cause trouble.”
“She has said very publicly that she is grateful to have been returned to the family by the late Queen and, of course, she is very grateful to have continued under Charles.
“That's different from selling her family,” they added, “She's fiercely loyal to Andrew.”
Sharing his opinion on the matter, a friend of Andrew said that he “doesn't have much going on in his life anymore, the house is one of the few things that keeps him going.”
“The idea that he would throw that away along with his children's inheritance is simply absurd. The place is perfectly well maintained and the idea that Andrew is in dire financial straits is not even remotely accurate.
“He still has the support of many friends and has many business interests.”
