Amaarae recently spoke candidly about her chat with chart-topping singer Sabrina Carpenter.
During a recent chat with People MagazineThe singer shared, “What attracted me to Sabrina was the [announcement of] “His fifth album,” he explained, “so this is an artist who has had the opportunity to develop over time.”
She also gushed about the Espresso hitmaker and addressed, “And this isn’t like, ‘Okay, we just come out with this random pop artist, and we’re going to shove it down your throat.’”
“No, this is development. This is an artist who is really trying to become an artist. And after five albums, this is his moment of takeoff. I can see myself in that,” Amaraee remembers thinking at the time.
He also reflected on his meeting with Sabrina Carpenter during Paris Fashion Week after their joint tour.
The singer revealed: “I’m at an after party and I see Sabrina. And I ask her, ‘Sabrina, who made this decision for you?’”
“She said, 'Well, I did it myself.' I said, 'What do you mean?' She said, 'What do you mean?'” [goes]“My best friend recommended your album to me and we loved it. We loved it so much that I really wanted you to be on this tour,” Amaarae also mentioned.
“I was like, 'Wow, that's crazy. But I get it. It's hard. Period,'” she also revealed before leaving the chat.
