Richard Simmons may have left something for his fans before his death.
The lifestyle icon's staff took it upon themselves to post a final post that Simmons, who was found dead on July 13, had prepared to publish had he lived.
“From Richard’s team: Hi everyone. Richard worked really hard on his posts for you. He had a lot of ideas and worked ahead of time… going back to each one and making changes until it was exactly how he wanted it before posting,” Simmons’ team wrote on their official X account, formerly Twitter.
They continued: “As you know, on the weekends, he would simply share a photo with a caption. He would always choose his photos and write his captions for the upcoming weekend before Friday. So we have the post that Richard planned to share with you last Sunday. We thought you might like to see it.”
“Here’s the post Richard had planned for you on Sunday, July 14, 2024. ‘Let me take you to the moon so we can gaze at the stars. Love, Richard,’” the tweet concluded.
In the image, Simmons can be seen sporting grey hair, posing in an orange NASA astronaut suit in front of a colourful background.
