Queen Camilla has taken a major step towards winning the heart of King Charles as she is set to officially open a new cancer centre amid the monarch's battle with the potentially fatal disease.
The Queen Consort will today open the Dyson Cancer Centre at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, marking the first royal engagement since the Balmoral summer break.
According GB NewsThe centre, which serves more than 500,000 people across the South West, provides vital cancer treatments and support services.
During her visit, Camilla will meet patients and hear about their experiences, mirroring a similar commitment made by King Charles earlier this year.
This comes amid Charles' battle with an undisclosed form of cancer. As the monarch battles the disease, several reports claim Camilla has advised him to slow down.
A source close to Camilla said Daily beast, “She’s been trying to encourage him to slow down. Of course, he wants to keep going, but she’s afraid that doing too much will set him back.”
“I think there have been a lot of positive comments about the King's recovery, his return to work, etc. But, you know, he has cancer. He's not feeling well,” they added.
“Camilla has been telling him to take a break, but he is a workaholic and won’t listen to her.”
