Princess Diana had an interesting crush on actor Kevin Costner, the latter confirmed.
The former Princess of Wales really admired Costner as an actor, she tells PEOPLE after a confession from Prince William.
Kevin told the outlet, “We met in this room and it was just us. He came over and we shook hands… The first sentence out of his mouth was, 'You know, my mom liked you.'”
Speaking previously on The Howard Stern Show, The Bodyguard 2 star opened up about a planned plot that would involve Prince William and Harry's mother.
“He's on a plane, Princess Diana is in front, everyone has to get off the plane,” Costner detailed. “She Say she is the first one off the plane, she is heading to Hong Kong, because she is going to this place.” [horse] “The race too.”
“Princess Di, I meet her the next day at a party and I look at her like everyone else. And finally she comes up to me and says, 'I know who you are! ' And I was like, 'What the fuck?[expletive] 'You're talking about? ' She says, 'I know you're here to look after me. ' And I said, 'No, I'm not really. I'm looking after a horse,'” he recounted, the Express reports.
“In the story, she had broken with the royal family,” he added.
Costner then detailed how he convinced Diana to join the project.
“I said, 'I'm doing Bodyguard 2 and I think I can build it around you. Would you be interested? '” Costner recalled.
“She told me, 'Yes… My life is about to change.' I thought I understood what she was saying: 'I would like to open up my life… I think I would like to do this.'”
The second time we spoke she said, 'Is there going to be a kissing scene? ' I said, 'Do you want there to be one? 'She said, 'Yes,' and I said, 'Then we'll do it,'” Costner shared.
