Princess Anne returns to royal duties after weeks in hospital

Princess Anne has just returned to royal duties after weeks of hospitalization.

The sister of British monarch King Charles III returned to public duties on Friday as she recovered from injuries she sustained after being hit by a horse, according to a statement. Canadian National Television.

Taking up her royal duties, the 73-year-old royal handed out awards and interacted with winners at a charity equestrian event in Gloucestershire, southwest England.

Princess Anne, also known as the Princess Royal, made a gradual return to public appearances after suffering a concussion and minor head injuries at her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire.

He spent five nights in a Bristol hospital and has spent the rest of his time recovering at his home in the sprawling housing estate, following standard concussion protocols.

Princess Anne is believed to have been hit by a horse while out for a walk on her estate, which has hosted numerous equestrian events.

The royal's medical team, when Princess Anne suffered her injuries, said her injuries were consistent with a possible impact to the head or legs from a horse.
