Princess Anne quietly performs crucial task for king amid new investigation

Princess Anne has continued to maintain her reputation as the most loyal and hardworking while carrying out an important role entrusted to her on behalf of the monarch.

The royal family has been dealing with the avalanche of bad press and controversy following the humiliating reports about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

After the embarrassed royal's 'peppercorn' rental at Royal Lodge emerged, other senior members of the royal family also came under scrutiny.

Buckingham Palace issued a congratulatory statement after distinguished Britons received honors from King Charles' sister.

“Congratulations to all who received honors at this week's investiture ceremonies, hosted by the Princess Royal at St James's Palace,” the message read.

He noted that the Booking Scheme at Buckingham Palace had resulted in “a number of ceremonies being held at St James's for the first time since the pandemic”.

Apart from the King, there are only two members of the royal family who can perform investiture ceremonies: Prince William and Princess Anne.

The update comes after parliament launched a new inquiry into all properties included in the Crown estate. However, Princess Anne has escaped the investigation as she lives on a private property in Gatcombe Park.

The investigation will ensure that taxpayers' interests are protected.
