Prince William sent his best wishes to the England team as they finished top of Group C at Euro 2024 despite a dismal 0-0 draw against Slovenia in Cologne on Tuesday.
Gareth Southgate's England team, who had already reached the last 16, were booed after failing to impress once again, but their five-point haul was enough to secure first place in the group ahead of Denmark and Slovenia, who also they passed.
The team shared the following on its official X account, a former Twitter account: “Another point on the scoreboard. Next up: the round of 16 of #EURO2024!”
In this regard, Prince William, who missed the crucial Euro 2024 group stage match to attend a state banquet with the Japanese Imperial Family, said: “Onward to the round of 16! Well done England, looking forward to the next round. #EURO2024”.

Prince William is the president of the English Football Association (FA).
