Prince William distressed and anxious after England's victory over Switzerland at Euro 2019

Prince William was elated as he attended England's quarter-final clash against Switzerland at the European Championships.

The Prince of Wales, who was in Dusseldorf this afternoon, was seen smiling expectantly, according to a body language expert.

Royal expert Judi James told the Mirror: “There were a few moments before the game started when some of the angst and frustration of the England team’s recent games seemed to be reflected in William’s facial expression, with his lips pursed, teeth clenched and a brow furrowed.

He added: “As he chatted with the officers around him, he seemed to revert to a more light-hearted non-verbal joking mode, curling his hands into fists to mimic what looked like a driving gesture or leaning in to talk to someone behind him with a very mischievous facial expression.”

This happens when England wins the match and enters the semi-finals of the European Championship.
