Prince Harry's possible return to the Royal Family has raised concerns about trust and loyalty as there are fears he could “bring them back”.
The Duke of Sussex's past attacks on the royal family, including the monarch and Prince William, may make his return difficult, according to King Charles' former butler Grant Harrold.
According The expressHarrold said: “I still think that… [the Sussexes and the Royal Family] They will reconcile at some point when they are older because I can't imagine two people as close as William and Harry not getting along again.”
“Time heals and I have noticed that they have not said much, they have been very discreet and that may be showing that they are changing direction,” he added.
Despite the Sussexes' recent low-key approach, Harrold shared that he believes rebuilding trust will be crucial to any potential reconciliation.
“It's possible that over time that can be sorted out, but all I know is that William has a lot of confidence. I think that's the sore point and it could hold them back.”
The expert continued: “If Harry wanted to come back into the Royal Family, it would not just be about William and Catherine, but about his father, the King and the whole organisation.”
“Harry attacked everyone, so if he suddenly changes things, they'll say, 'Oh, this could be risky.' They might let him back in, but he could stab them in the back.”
However, she noted that there is a glimmer of hope for Harry to patch things up this time with members of the royal family, including William, if he gives them time to rebuild trust.
“All I know is that William has a lot of confidence. I think that's the tricky part and it could hold them back,” Harrold said.
“So I think William will just let time take its course and see how long it takes for things to heal.”
