One expert just urged Prince Harry to pursue some other effort to expand into the US.
Prince Harry just got some advice on expanding an existing effort to the US.
Commentator and royal expert Richard Eden issued these claims.
He gave his opinion especially during one of his most recent pieces for The Daily Mail.
In that article, he discussed the Duke's signature row over the charity he founded in 2006 with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho for people struggling to come to terms with their HIV and AIDS diagnosis.
“During a fleeting visit to London, when you will give a reading at a service at St Paul's Cathedral to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, could you take a worried look back at California?”
“I ask because his other major charity company, Sentebale, founded in 2006 to benefit African orphans, has, as far as I can reveal, fallen into branding difficulties in the US, thwarting, at least for now, plans to expand its operations in the United States.”
“Perhaps inspired by his wife, Meghan’s, appetite for trademarking all types of goods and services for her fledgling lifestyle business, American Riviera Orchard, Harry hoped to secure a trademark for Sentebale in numerous categories.”
For those who don't know, some of the Duke's categories included mental health services, campaigns and vaccine provision, among others.
But since the US Patent and Trademark Office has decided not to grant the patent, even though there is “no conflict [trade] “Marks,” Mr Eden recommended, “Perhaps it's time for Harry to head to Montecito, the enclave of California's fabulously wealthy where he and Meghan snapped up an £11 million mansion that some say has 16 bathrooms and, according to others, a quite intriguing 13 and a half.”
