Prince Harry has hinted that all is not well between him and wife Meghan Markle as he celebrates her 40th birthday.
The Duke of Sussex, who is reportedly going on a kids-only trip to celebrate her special day, also made no mention of Meghan while praising his children during a recent interview with the BBC.
Speaking about Harry's unusual behaviour, royal author Hugo Vickers notes: “It's surprising that he hasn't mentioned his wife, as he is in the habit of doing so, so I can see how that leads us to speculate that things are not rosy in that particular quarter.”
“This birthday will be a time for him to look back and look forward. I hope that in some sense he will pause and think about the things he has said and done that have been extremely damaging to his relationships with his own family and have isolated him,” she added.
The author also mentioned how Harry and Meghan get most of their publicity through the Royal brand.
“The press is interested in them now, but that won't last forever. I think they will reflect on it,” he said.
