Prince Harry has received intense criticism for his participation in the new ITV documentary Tabloids on trialwhere he talks about his legal battles with the press.
The Duke of Sussex has spoken about his rift with members of the royal family and the impact of their rows with the tabloids on their years-long feud in an hour-long documentary.
However, after the documentary aired, Harry was accused of selling family secrets to the media by presenter Carole Malone, who also called him a “hypocrite”.
In a conversation with GB NewsHe criticised Prince Harry: “How does that compare to what Harry does now? Harry is now an integral part of the media he so despises.”
“He has become a media person and has become very rich from it,” he added. “He sells secrets about his family to the media. This interview is an example of his involvement in the media.”
“So to hate him the way he does is hypocritical in the extreme. And he doesn't seem to be saying that he's selling his own stories. He's giving the media stories that he wants to be spread.”
In the documentary, journalist Becca Barry questioned Harry about the impact of his actions on his family relationships, to which he replied that it was a “central piece” of the issue.
“It's a difficult question to answer because anything I say about my family results in a torrent of abuse from the press,” added Meghan Markle's husband.
