Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are hungry to 'line their pockets' with dollars, says Piers Morgan

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are being ridiculed for their hypocrisy as they embark on a trip to Colombia.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have come under fire from former GB News presenter Petra Morgan, who accuses the couple of running a fake royal tour.

The expert writes for The Sun: “Meghan and Harry are not actual royals today. They serve no real function for the institution that bestowed their titles on them; they just line their pockets in the US by constantly criticising their families and the monarchy in the media.”

He asks: “So what gives them the right to parade around the world pretending to be royalty, on quasi-official visits?”

He then identifies the trip’s flaws, noting: “There are so many things wrong with this. First, the ridiculous hypocrisy of them going to one of the most dangerous places in the world (both UK and US government websites warn travellers to Colombia of the heightened risk of terrorism, kidnapping, rape and robbery), after all of Harry’s whiny demands for taxpayer-funded royal security when he comes to the UK to ‘protect his family.’”

Piers scoffs: “Secondly, his decision to go and prop up a Colombian government that has been plagued by scandals since he came to power.”
