After the hype surrounding 2024 general elections and once the results were settled, political alliances began to brew with the likelihood of the formation of a coalition government in the country when the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People's Party (PPP ) held a meeting, it became known on Sunday.

The two political parties, which emerged second and third in terms of success in the February 8 elections, discussed the prospects of forging an alliance to govern the country, in what was described as the first official contact between the two sides since the elections. process came to an end.

A delegation led by PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif met PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House, Lahore and sought their cooperation to form the government, according to a joint statement issued by the parties.

In response, the PPP leadership told PML-N leaders that the proposal will be discussed at the party's Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting, scheduled for Monday.
