Oasis reunion: Noel and Liam Gallagher reportedly back together

Backbeat, rumour has it that Oasis are finally reuniting after 15 years.

After Britain's Sunday Times newspaper reported this weekend that feuding brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher were likely in the process of reuniting the band, Liam Gallagher appeared to confirm the rumors on social media.

Responding to a Sunday Times report that the brothers and former bandmates had “sorted out their differences” and would return to the stage as Oasis in London and Manchester next summer, Liam Gallagher wrote on X: “See you up front.”

The creators of the hits “Wonderwall” and “Don't Look Back in Anger” are scheduled to play “several big gigs” at Manchester's Heaton Park and London's Wembley Stadium, according to anonymous “industry sources” cited by the Sunday Times.

Representatives for Oasis, Heaton Park and Wembley Stadium did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Sunday.

After splitting in 2009, frontman Liam Gallagher and guitarist Noel Gallagher pursued solo projects, and many Oasis fans gave up hope that the brothers would ever repair their relationship and revive the group.

For a decade and a half, the pair have been consistently referred to as ex-bandmates. However, on Sunday, Liam Gallagher stoked fan excitement amid reunion speculation by cryptically musing that he “never liked that word EX” in unknown.

Rumours of a comeback emerged just days before the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ debut studio album, “Definitely Maybe”.

The British rock band is also famous for their seminal second album “(What's the Story) Morning Glory?”, as well as hit songs such as “Wonderwall,” “Don't Look Back in Anger,” “Stop Crying Your Heart Out,” and “Champagne Supernova.”
