Normani is “devastated” that she didn't take the stage at the BET Awards this year.
On Sunday, the 28-year-old singer revealed on her Instagram account that she had no choice but to cancel her performance due to a “very serious” injury to her knee.
“I am more frustrated and disappointed than anyone knows,” wrote Normani, who was scheduled to perform live at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
“I wanted to stay here and give you an update to let you know that while I was rehearsing for BET I had a very serious accident and got hurt,” the Fifth Harmony alum continued.
“I desperately wanted to give you my best on that stage, but acting would delay my healing,” he said.and candy paint The hitmaker explained. “I’ve been going through my process and doing the best I can to make sense of my feelings regarding this. I’m devastated and I hate feeling disappointed in you, but I have to focus on getting better right now.”
“Believe me, I hear you and I see you. There is nothing more I would like to do than perform for you and also, to do what fulfills me the most: BEING ON STAGE,” Normani added before closing her message.
For those who don't know, the 2024 BET Awards took place on Sunday, June 30 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
