Paula Abdul Files Lawsuit Against Her ‘American Idol’ Co-Worker in Los Angeles County Superior Court
Nigel Lythgoe has dismissed allegations of sexual assault made by Paula Abdul.
Earlier this week, the american idol The judge charged the 71-year-old producer in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Now, in a statement to TMZNigel reacted to Paula’s accusations, saying: “To say I am shocked and saddened by the allegations made against me by Paula Abdul is an understatement.”
He added: “For more than two decades, Paula and I have interacted as dear and completely platonic friends and colleagues.”
Nigel admitted that he found out about her claims “out of the blue,” and explained that the allegations are not only false but also “deeply offensive.”
“I can’t pretend to understand exactly why you would file a lawsuit that you should know is not true. But I can promise that I will fight this heinous defamation with everything I have,” he concluded.
