Nicolas Cage, once accused of negligence by ex -girlfriend Christina Fulton, will not face more litigation in her continuous assault and her demand for aggression against her son.
On Monday, the Superior Court of the Los Angeles County granted Fulton's request to dismiss his accusations against the Oscar -winning actor “Leaving Las Vegas” with prejudice, which means that he cannot refill his claims. In his application, submitted on Friday and reviewed by The Times, Fulton indicates that dismissal refers only to Cage “and as for any other defendant.”
In February, Fulton sued his ex already his 34 -year -old son, Weston Cage, claiming that the latter left her with “injuries that threaten life” in an assault that occurred in April 2024. Fulton came out with Nicolas Cage from 1988 to 1991.
The legal representatives of Fulton and Nicolas Cage did not immediately respond to the requests for comments separately from the Times.
In his lawsuit, Fulton said he visited Weston after he received “urgent messages” from his friends about his “deteriorated mental state.” During that visit, Weston attacked her in a parking lot, elevator and lobby near her home, causing serious and potentially mortal injuries, including a brain shock, an eye injury, multiple bruises, neck and throat lesions and PTSD, Fulton claimed.
Fulton accused Nicolas Cage of allowing his son's behavior by turning a blind eye to his violence and mental health struggles while continuing to support him financially. She also claimed that the actor bought her son a condominium next to his, took him out of jail several times and drank alcohol with him despite knowing that he fought with the use of substances. Fulton sued Weston by assault, aggression, negligence, intentional inflicence of emotional anguish and negligent inflicence of emotional anguish. She sued Nicolas Cage for two negligence positions.
Brian Wolf, lawyer of the actor, withdrew Fulton's claims in an February statement to Times: “Mr. Cage does not control Weston's behavior in any way and is not responsible for the supposed assault of Weston to his mother. “
Fulton presented his dismissal one day after Weston announced his commitment to the girlfriend Jenifer Alexa Canter. She told TMZ in a statement that wants “the best” for her son in the midst of her commitment, but that “my pain and my suffering last year, since her mother will never disappear.”
Until Tuesday afternoon, Fulton has not submitted a request to dismiss his accusations against Weston. The actor-Music did not respond immediately to the request for comments of the Times.
