Monica expressed her gratitude to Ariana Grande for her reunion with her old friend.
The 43-year-old musician appeared in an interview with Entertainment tonight and revealed his recent work on the remix of his hit, The boy is Mine He repaired his relationship with his friend Brandy.
Their 1998 song was a collaboration between the pop star and Brandy, who were dealing with alleged fights.
Monica told the outlet: “The process of the new collaboration greatly contributed to closing the gaps.”
He went on to say, “When you communicate properly, not only can you find resolutions and solutions to problems, but sometimes you discover that there were never any problems, just constant miscommunications.”
“Talking was a lot easier,” Monica said of the Missing You artist.
Additionally, the American singer noted that she has spoken to Brandy more in recent weeks compared to the “last two decades.”
Giving all the credit to Ariana for healing her friendship with her old friend, Monica said, “That's what Ariana has done and maybe she doesn't even realize it.”
