Miranda Lambert's patience with concert-goers who upset her is wearing thin.
The “Gunpowder & Lead” singer paused her headlining performance at Montana’s Under the Big Sky festival on Saturday to address a group of fans who appeared to be fighting.
“I see your head is not turned in the right direction, which is here,” she said, pointing to herself. “If you came to visit, you can visit somewhere else. If you came to sing country music, drink beer and make a fuss, that’s what we’re doing tonight.”
“Is that clear? Are we done with our drama?” he continued, pointing this time at the troublesome group. “Fighting is not okay. And it’s always the girls. We go crazy. Greetings to everyone. I’ll wait.”
The Montana crowd apparently cheered Lambert during his speech, offering several rounds of applause. But when footage of the incident was later shared on Tik Tokthe answers were negative.
“If I spend my own money to go to a show, I’ll take a nap if I feel like it… what does she care?!” one user commented on the video.
“Miranda Lambert, your modus operandi is really horrible. I mean, every damn concert, when you call someone out… this is getting old… so old!” wrote another.
Representatives for Lambert did not immediately respond to The Times' request for comment Wednesday.
Lambert had already criticized his fans from the stage at his June 29 concert in Midland, Texas. As in Saturday's episode and a similar one in July 2023The incident occurred during a performance of her breakup ballad, “Tin Man.”
“Is everybody fighting? During this song? Because I’m going down there and you don’t want that. We’re not doing that today,” he told the crowd before asking security to remove concertgoers from the venue.
Several days later, Lambert shared a seemingly tongue-in-cheek video on Instagram, pointing out when it's appropriate to fight during his performance.
“If you want to fight at my shows, I’m willing to do it. Give them hell,” she said. “I’ve got five songs for you: ‘Fastest Girl in Town,’ ‘Kerosene,’ ‘Little Red Wagon,’ ‘Wranglers,’ ‘Gun Powder & Lead.’ Don’t do it during ‘Tin Man.’ That’s not the time.”
Lambert on Friday released her song “Ain't in Kansas Anymore,” which will be featured in the upcoming film “Twisters.” The song follows her recent singles “Wranglers” and “Dammit Randy.”
