Meghan Markle had a shocking reaction when her father, Thomas Markle, suffered a stroke last year.
The Duchess of Sussex, who split from her father just before her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018, has decided not to pay attention to his hospitalisation in 2023.
Speaking to The Sun, royal author Tom Bower revealed: “I feel deeply for him, he's a very decent man, very hard-working, he was a wonderful father,” Bower said.
“Meghan owes him a lot and has treated him appallingly. She has treated him in a totally unjustified way.
“And there he is, sitting in a pretty run-down cabin in New Mexico, not deserving what she's given him.”
“Even when he suffered the heart attack and couldn't make it to the wedding, no one was there to help him,” the royal expert said.
“I think the Palace behaved appallingly towards him, they abandoned him, largely I think because Harry and Meghan themselves just thought he was someone who could be ignored,” she said.
