Meghan Markle chose not to attend a very uncomfortable meeting with the Royal Family amid King Charles' diagnosis
Meghan Markle opted to stay in California while her husband, Prince Harry, rushed to visit cancer-stricken King Charles in the United Kingdom.
The Duke of Sussex had an 11-hour flight to London, after which he spent just 30 minutes at Clarence House with his father.
Meanwhile, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, stayed at the couple's Montecito mansion with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Relationship expert Louella Alderson believes the Suits star stayed behind to avoid a very awkward meeting with royalty.
“It's not surprising that Meghan decided not to fly to the UK with Harry,” he said. Mirror. “If she had, the media attention would have been solely on her being there and not on more important things like King Charles' health and Harry reconnecting with his family.”
He added: “Furthermore, Meghan has not had the best relationship with the Royal Family during her time with Harry, which appears to have worsened since her departure from the UK and all her comments to the media. Understandably, she may not feel comfortable or don't want to be in a situation where I have to interact with them during such a difficult time.
