Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were disinvited from the exclusive royal event for “working members”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were ignored at a major royal event with world leaders, it has emerged.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not invited to a gathering of royal staff the night before Queen Elizabeth II's burial.

Roya Nikkhah, royal editor of The Sunday Times, reveals that Harry was heartbroken by the treatment.

She wrote: “The Sussexes also understood they would be at Buckingham Palace on the eve of the funeral along with the rest of the royal family, when Charles and Camilla hosted a reception for foreign heads of state. They were initially asked to attend the event, but their invitations were later 'revoked', with the Palace clarifying the event was for 'working members of the royal family' only.”

This comes as author Tom Quinn revealed that Harry has been devastated since being evicted from his Windsor home, Frogmore Cottage.

He said: “Harry was absolutely furious and in tears at being evicted from Frogmore; he felt his father had no right to do so and that he was purely vindictive.”
