Megan Fox pulls back the curtain on two hot and cold relationships that have fueled rumors about her in recent years: the first, with rapper Machine Gun Kelly, and the second, with plastic surgery.
Fox's romance with MGK has been the subject of much speculation as of late. reports of a growing conflict between the two. The “Jennifer's Body” actor settled the matter on this week's episode of Alex Cooper's “Call Her Daddy” podcast, confirming that the engagement is off but hinting that there could still be something between them.
“What I have learned about being in this relationship is that it is not for public consumption. So I think for now I have no comment on the status of the relationship, per se,” Fox said, admitting that he still thinks of Kelly as her “soulmate.”,” and that “there will always be a bond for him, no matter what.”
“I can't say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to it in some way. Beyond that, I am not willing to explain,” she said.
Fox and Kelly first went public as a couple in June 2020 after meeting. technically, for the second time – on the set of his film “Midnight in the Switchgrass.”
“I looked into his eyes and thought, 'Oh yeah, that's you.' I’ve known you for a thousand years,'” Fox recalled.
In January 2022, Fox announced that they were engaged and had celebrated the occasion by drinking each other's blood, a gesture that drew much criticism.
“What's so disgusting about what I did with my soulmate?” the actor half-joked with Cooper, comparing the exchange to an innocent blood pact between schoolchildren.
Instead, the public read it as evidence to support current theories about Fox's association with the occult, the “Transformers” alum said.
“Just to squash that, I'm not a Satanist or any kind of evil witch or lightworker,” she said, adding that she has become adept at avoiding unwanted identities that the public imposes on her.
“You could swap this year's articles for 2009 and 2010, and it's exactly the same thing,” he said, adding that insults that used to appear on gossip sites like Perez Hilton's: “bitch,” “whore,” “false”, ”- now populate social networks.
Fox said she has been especially scrutinized for allegedly undergoing a long list of body-altering procedures. In the interest of transparency (and to reduce the shame women feel about undergoing such procedures), she took an inventory for Cooper of the procedures she has undergone and those she has not.
On the “have” list were three breast augmentations, rhinoplasty, Botox and filler. The “don't have” list included a facelift, a lateral brow lift, regular eyebrow lift, thread lift, buccal fat removal, liposuction, body contouring and Brazilian butt lift.
“In terms of surgery, it's not much,” Fox said, calling his fear of general anesthesia a disincentive “saving grace.”
“Now when it comes to lasers and stuff like that, I've done everything you can think of and I always will,” he said. “I don't understand the point of shaming people for doing things.”
If it comes to embracing what is “natural,” she added, noting the ubiquity of gel nails and dyed hair, “Where does that logic end? What is natural enough for you and what is fake? What is the barometer?
Fox clarified that anyone who opts for these types of procedures, which always pose a risk, should be very careful and do thorough research before committing.
Still, she said, “The more I control my body and do the things I've always wanted to do, the more comfortable I feel in my body.”
