Madonna recovers after falling with a dancer during a tour stop in Seattle

Madonna got and She kept up the groove at a weekend show in Seattle after she and a backup dancer wearing heels fell on stage.

The “Material Girl” and “Hung Up” singer, 65, brought her career-spanning Celebration tour to Climate Pledge Arena over the weekend, treating fans to her beloved hits, including “Open Your Heart ”. In the upbeat love song, Madonna sings, “Don't try to run, I can keep up with you / Nothing can stop me from trying.”

That wasn't necessarily the case on his Sunday show.

The “Like a Virgin” pop star and one of her dancers fell after struggling to perform a portion of her “Open Your Heart” choreography, according to a video that circulated on social networks. The clip showed a dancer, dressed in a black lace and mesh bodysuit and matching stilettos, slowly dragging Madonna back into a chair as she sang. As the beat quickens, the dancer quickens her steps and jogs past her, but she apparently slips on the stage.

The misstep caused Madonna and the dancer to fall to the floor, but the Grammy winner held onto her microphone, rolled onto her belly and continued performing. After a quick laugh, Madonna sang the chorus and stood up, continuing where she left off. The fallen dancer also recovered, swinging her hips and rolling, still wearing her heels.

The moment generated mixed reactions online, as some social media users accused the singer of lip sync and others praised the artist for keeping her show going. “She was a professional, she continued to act and laugh. “Awesome show,” wrote a fan.

One day after her last show in Seattle, and that viral crash, Madonna thanked her fans on Instagram for joining her on the Celebration tour. “It was a heavenly experience,” she wrote in an Instagram story.

Next month, Madonna will bring her tour to Inglewood's Kia Forum for five nights, starting March 4. She was initially scheduled to stop by Los Angeles last September and October, but her tour was derailed by a health issue in June.

“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection that led her to stay in the ICU for several days,” her manager Guy Oseary wrote on Instagram. “Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. She is expected to make a full recovery. “At this time we will have to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.”

In July, she told her fans that she was focused on her recovery and thanked them for their support. Since then, Ella Madge has been sharing backstage photos of her shows in Europe, New York and Washington, DC. Last week she announced that the last stop of her Celebration tour will be in Miami on April 9.

“Can you stand the heat? 🔥🔥🔥,” he wrote on Instagram.
